Supervised Visitations
Six Rivers wants to help parents ensure a safe, comfortable environment for their children and we do this through our Interchange and Supervised Visitation program. We work individually with parents to explain program procedures, ground rules, and scheduling and are always willing to cater our services to a family’s needs when appropriate.
Child interchange provided through Six Rivers, offers a safe and neutral place for parents to drop off and pick up the child(ren) without fear and anxiety of having to deal with an uncomfortable or hostile situation. The parent dropping off the child will arrive 20 minutes prior to the parent picking up the child. Children will be left in the care of an approved Six Rivers staff member or volunteer. Upon dropping off or picking up, each parent will show id and fill out associated forms.
Supervised visitations also offer a safe and controlled environment for parents to visit with children. We will help to create clear boundaries around acceptable behaviors and activities for the visitation. Our office provides a great space for time spent going over school work or one on one help with homework. Supervised visitations are accepted on a case by case basis and service availability depends on staffing and volunteer availability. Please call us if you are interested in setting up a visitation and would like to check availability.
